Jean Annette Cheuden John:1974, Shelbyville

Jean Annette Cheuden John was a nurse. She was married to Lowell G. John. She was born in 1937. She was murdered in early November 1974 in the garage of her own home.

“Superior Court Judge Richard Payne found that Lowell G John did kill his wife by beating her, that he was not sane by Indiana standards at the time and that he is not guilty of the offense by reason of insanity. John was accused of killing his wife November 7th 1974 by beating her about the head with a piece of metal welded to a length of pipe. The instrument resembled a meat cleaver.”

“A man and a young girl were standing on the porch. Upon entering the garage I found a white female subject in a large pool of blood. She was breathing and tried to say something to me.”

“When the ambulance arrived, I noticed there were three children standing in the garage watching what was happening. I took them into the house.”

“Mr. John was in his undershorts and undershirt and was bloody. He had a cut on his finger and was digging it open with his fingernail and biting his lip until it bled.”

Jean Annette Cheuden John’s name is not even mentioned in this article.

Every victim deserves Justice.

Rest in Peace Jean Annette.
