Ruby Mays was born on August 5th, 1962 to Jean F. Mays and James Mays. She grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana on the Northside. She attended Westlane Middle School and went on to high school at North Central High School. She had a younger sister named Marjean. (My youngest child graduated from North Central there in 2020.) (Herb Baumeister, serial killer, went to high school there. So did Jared Fogel who became famous for eating Subway sandwiches and went to jail for possessing and trading child sexual abuse materials.) It is not a bad school. It’s just very big and has been operating for many decades. It’s also smack in the middle of the Midwest. Her parents divorced at some point and her father remarried.
