Wendy Louise Felton was 16 on the fourth of June of 1987. Her parents, June and Russ Felton were going to Florida for a business trip that day. Her older sister, Julie, 18, drove them to the airport. Then she was supposed come home and to take Wendy to their grandparents home. Wendy was going to spend the weekend with them. When Julie got back to the house near Gas City, Wendy was not there. This was not part of the plan. Where was Wendy? There was no sign of foul play according to police. It was assumed she was a runaway. It was reported initially that a suitcase and some clothes were missing. But, her purse and her favorite shoes were left behind in her bedroom. Nothing else was taken from the home.
